Not Just Any Old Progress Report

I use the Behavior System in my previous post in my classroom.  I like the clip chart system because students can move both up and down on the chart.  The part I do not like is having to assign Conduct grades to kindergarten students.  To be completely fair I take a weekly average of daily conduct grades.  I started out my year sending home a page that showed how each student ended each day.  I quickly tired of this page because it was becoming too much work.  Over the weekend I created a new Progress Report that lets the parent know exactly what his/her child is doing (or not doing in most cases) in class.  This is something I can fill out on Thursday evening and then just calculate the averages on Friday to fill in on the report.  Hopefully some of you all can use this as well.

All clip art used is purchased from DJ Inkers (one of my faves).

Whooo Needs a Behavior Chart?

One of the hardest things about kindergarten is establishing a discipline plan.  The second hardest part is maintaining control of the system throughout the year.  Here is the clip chart system I use in my classroom  Names are written on colored clothespins so it is hard for visitors to see who is on what level when they come and go in my classroom.

Behavior System is posted on the bathroom door in my classroom.
Click here for a copy of this Behavior Management System.

I trimmed the edges, mounted on colored construction paper that matched the page heading, and laminated.  Then I attached each sign to a zebra ribbon with Velcro dots.
